Launch at Login improvements
What's New
- New Launch at Login by default. On macOS 13+, approve Snaps Of Apps inside System Settings → General → Login Items; on macOS 10.15 we now add a per-user LaunchAgent so the app launches automatically after login.
- Improved Preferences stability on macOS 10.15. Several crash-prone SwiftUI controls were replaced with AppKit equivalents to eliminate rare release-only crashes when opening Preferences on older macOS.
- Improved Snap Bar layout. The Snap Bar centers itself horizontally on the active display (while respecting side insets) so trailing controls remain visible and easier to reach.
- Improved Labels and localization. Shortcut labels and Preferences titles were cleaned up, and missing localized strings were added for Snapping, Integrations, and Launch at Login hints.
From 1.13
- New Start/Stop Snapping controls in the Snap Bar and status menu. Stopping disables drag snapping and clears selections/overlays; starting brings them back (enabled by default).
- New Preferences → Snapping now includes a persistent Enable Snapping toggle alongside the session-only Start/Stop controls.
- New Preferences now expose a Show Snap Bar toggle (default OFF) that mirrors the menu item.
- Changed Integrations defaults: Stage Manager and Mission Control ship OFF (opt-in), and both Auto-Detect and Auto-Hide are OFF.
- Changed Grid lines show only when a grid preset is active (the preference was removed). Live Resize During Drag remains OFF by default.
Notes
- App version: 1.14 (114).
- Minimum macOS: 10.15.
- On macOS 10.15, Preferences now rely on AppKit controls internally to mirror SwiftUI behavior without the crashes.
