Snaps Of Apps 1.16 — Release Notes
Snaps Of Apps is a macOS window manager for window snapping, tiling, multi‑monitor workflows, and workspace snapshots. Version 1.16 focuses on easier onboarding (trial mode) and stability improvements across custom layouts and snapshots.
NEW
Free 7‑day trial: Start a full‑feature trial without a license key. Trial start/expiry is validated against online time to prevent extending the trial by backdating the system clock. An internet connection is required while in trial mode.
New / Expanded capabilities
- Free 7‑day trial (full feature set): Try Snaps Of Apps before purchasing.
- Menu bar trial indicator: A clear badge shows days remaining while you are unlicensed / in trial mode.
- “Buy Software…” menu item: When unlicensed, a top-level menu item takes you directly to the in‑app license / purchase flow.
Improvements
- Moom Custom Grid editor accuracy: Grid previews now reflect the selected row/column count with correct grid lines and consistent cell highlighting.
- Custom grid/tile management stability: Renaming, saving, and deleting custom layouts updates reliably and avoids duplicate/ghost entries.
- Snapshots reliability: Improved app launch and quit handling so snapshots restore more consistently and close remaining instances more reliably.
- Menu bar behavior: Runs as a true menu bar app (no Dock icon) for less distraction during daily use.
Bug fixes
- Fixed: Cmd+V paste in the license field (in addition to right‑click Paste).
- Fixed: some apps not quitting fully when quitting a snapshot.
- Fixed: custom grid editor highlighting only the first cell / incorrect grid line rendering in certain configurations.
